Vodafone Americas Foundation is part of Vodafone’s global family of foundations. We are affiliated with Vodafone, the world’s leading mobile telecommunications company that has significant presence in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the United States.

In the U.S., our foundation is located in the San Francisco Bay and the Metro Denver Areas where most of our employees live and work, and where we strive to make a positive and enduring impact on our communities.

Although we no longer accept unsolicited grant requests, we continue our presence through smaller, targeted grants in our core priorities of strengthening families, supporting children and youth; leadership development; civic participation and urban issues; the arts; and special projects.

Later this year, we will launch our Wireless Innovation Project, which is a competitive style of grantmaking that seeks wireless technology solutions to solve some of the critical issues around the world. For more information, visit our Wireless Innovation Project site.

Our Goal

With a focus on strengthening families, supporting children and youth, we look for programs that provide guidance and tools to develop interests, leadership skills, communication, and self-confidence in youth. We seek programs that help families discover ways of being together in healthy relationships and prepare them to deal with adversity, help overcome poverty and become active participants in our community. Our main goal is to create access and opportunities. Any of these priorities may be accomplished through arts, music, sports, and educational programs.

Recently, we’ve added wireless technology as one of our key initiatives. Since Vodafone is in the business of wireless technology, we hope to leverage our knowledge and experience to seek new technologies that are yet to be discovered to help solve some of the critical issues around the world.
